Aim
Working with the ePortfolio Tool
Tasks
For Student Teachers
- Watch the tutorial videos on the ePortfolio Tool: Overview; Key Actions in the ePortfolio; Commenting Functionalities.
- Make your first ePortfolio entry answering the questions “Why did you decide to become a teacher?" "Did you have a previous in-school placement training? If yes, what did you learn from your previous training” under the tag "values" and choose Section "Reflections" Phase Preparation. Make sure you choose the tag and category before you save the post.
- Look at the ePortfolio entries of your peers under the tag "values" and leave at least two comments.
For Academic & School Mentors
- Watch the tutorial videos on the ePortfolio Tool: Overview; Key Actions in the ePortfolio; Commenting Functionalities.
- Read your students' ePortfolio entries in Section "Reflections", Phase Preparation .
- Apart from that, you are invited to make your own entry on "What you like about teaching" and "Why I decided to become a teacher". Make sure you choose the tag "values".

Preparation Phase
- Expectations register
- Analysis of previous training (in pedagogy/pedagogical content knowledge) and previous practicum experience
Immersion into the School Placement Phase
- multi-media reflections (text, video, audio, picture)
- reflection on school community life,
- field notes and writing down data from observations,
- reflection on observation of teaching practice
- reflections on your teaching, also meta-reflection (reflection on reflection of peers),
- reflection on academic literature,
- recording field notes on professional action and gathering evidence of professional performance
Retrospective Analysis of Experience
- Final school placement report.
The entire portfolio can be exported as .pdf!
Personal Reflections
- self-reflection on your professional growth,
- expression of worries, asking questions you want to keep private.
