Task 4. Expectations on In-School Placement
Aim
Working with the Document Tool and discussing expectations on in-school placement
Tasks
For Student Teachers
- Watch the videos on the Document Tool and the Shared Folders in the Document Tool.
- Watch the video on how to Create and Share Folders and Documents.
- Go to the Document Tool and click on “Shares”. Read the documents provided by your academic and school mentors in the folder "Documents for In-School Placement".
- Watch the video on how to use the Chat Tool in a document and work collaboratively on a document in the Documents Tool.
- Leave your comments and questions directly in the documents by using the Chat Tool.
- Look at the Expectations Checklist and try to fill it in.
For Academic Mentors
- Watch the videos on the Document Tool and the Shared Folders in the Document Tool.
- Watch the video on how to Create and Share Folders and Documents.
- Go to the Document Tool. Please, create a folder called "Documents for In-School Placement" and share it with your students and with the school mentors; upload the documents you would like the students to read and discuss prior to the in-school placement.
For School Mentors
- Watch the videos on the Document Tool and the Shared Folders in the Document Tool.
- Watch the video on how to Create and Share Folders and Documents.
- Go to the Documents Tool, in Shares find the Folder "Documents for In-School Placement", upload the documents you want the students to read and discuss prior to the In-School Placement.

You will talk about the shared documents and discuss questions and concerns posed in the Chat Tool of the files in a video call. |

Preparation Phase
- share the necessary guidelines, code of ethics, expectation checklists, school policies with student teachers;
- sharing the necessary placement plans/programmes, expectation lists between the academic and school mentors;
- sharing the necessary documentation between the university and school coordinators.
Immersion into School Practice and Professional Actions Phases
- create/store/share school practice plan form;
- create/store educational resources and sharing with and between student teachers;
- sharing observation sheets and checklists with student teachers, and between the school and academic mentors;
- storing/sharing/editing/discussing lesson plans.
Retrospective Analysis of Experience / Post-Placement Phase
- store/share Placement Reports, Dissertations/Projects, Files exported from the ePortfolio Tool (more in Unit 2 and 3).
