Aim

In Unit 2, you will learn about Action Research and how this method of 'self-development' can help to reflect on your teaching practice. You will work with your ePortfolio and do some reflective writing on your teaching/learning experiences as well as on your values in education.

Tasks

For Student Teachers

Task 1: Text, Video & Quiz on Action Research (AR) (15 min)

Task 2: Video & Quiz on the AR cycle (15 min)

Task 3: ePortfolio Entry (60 min)

Task 4: Mindmap (60 min)

Task 5: Discussion on Observation (30 minutes)

For Academic & School Mentors

The tasks in Unit 2 are mainly there for Student Teachers. However, you are encouraged to give feedback and take part in discussions around observation and support the reflections of your students by asking questions, sharing your stories and commenting.

Apart from that, this unit introduces you to ePortfolio Tool. You are invited to follow the unit tasks and watch the ePortfolio Tool tutorial videos.
